S O L I N A ...
... is a Finnish word that signifies the sound water makes as it flows. Water, silk and inspiration all have a flow, and Solina was created as a thread connecting the three. An artwork is created by hand, then printed onto a silk scarf. A scarf was chosen as the canvas, as it is an infinitely versatile item that has the ability to become different things in different hands. Something to wear, something to love, something to keep.

Ethics and Sustainability
Solina values sustainability greatly and strives to minimize its environmental impact. This is a continual process, and as the brand grows, so will its environmental efforts.
Solina scarves are designed in Spain and manufactured in London, UK, through a made-to-order (POD) model chosen for its environmental benefits. This approach avoids overproduction, prevents unsold inventory, and reduces the product’s travel footprint, resulting in fewer emissions.
Our manufacturing partner, Contrado UK, handles all production in-house at their London facility, including printing, cutting, sewing, packaging, and shipping. They source fabrics from within Europe, pay fair wages to their workers, use biodegradable water-based inks, manage waste responsibly, and repurpose fabric off-cuts.
Solina is committed to using only 100% natural fibers, such as silk and cotton. Packaging is kept minimal, using tin and cardboard with no unnecessary plastic.
As a small independent brand, Solina sets its prices to ensure fair compensation for every contributor and to honour the time and craft behind each piece.

III. How long does the making of the product and shipping take?

IV. Can I make a purchase without a PayPal account?
- At the moment, checkout is handled securely through PayPal. You’ll need to log in to PayPal to complete your purchase. We’re working on adding a direct card option soon.
V. How best to take care of my scarf?
- Solina scarves are 100% silk satin, so we recommend professional dry cleaning to preserve quality. The scarf arrives in a tin container, which is also ideal for storing and travel. The fabric softens in use, so the more you use it, the softer and less prone to wrinkling it becomes.
